Betty Foy Saunders-White is an interesting camellia with medium, semi-double, flared trumpet shape flowers and white petals with the occasional rose-red speckles or streaks. This early to midseason bloomer has dark green foliage and first bloomed in 1959.
Betty Sette is a medium dense, upright grower with wavy, dark, green foliage. The medium, formal double, deep pink blooms are the ideal size for personal adornment. Dr. Ackerman introduced this beautiful late-season bloomer in 1992, and it is hardy to -10°.
Betty Sheffield is a dense, compact, upright plant with rich, glossy green foliage and a pink/white blotched, medium to large, loose peony bloom with a slightly wavey petal. Although it has a pretty camellia, it is most unstable, with a significant number of sports often having different color blooms on the same plant.
Betty Sheffield Supreme is a sport of ‘Betty Sheffield’ first observed in 1956 and grows identical to its parent. The medium, loose peony flowers are pure white with a narrow band of deep pink on the outer margins. Although more stable than its parent, the flower will often revert to its original slashed coloring.
Bob Hope is an upright, Dense, slow-growing camellia with dark green leaves. The large to very large, semi-double, deep black-red flowers have noticeable purple spots on the petals and buds and wavy petals
Bonanza will dazzle you with its large, semi-double to peony blooms and deep glowing, mulberry red petals with occasional splashes of light white. Their firm petals are both waved and fluted and will begin early and continue for several months. This Camellia makes an excellent foundation plant, and due to the compact, spreading nature rarely needs pruning.
Bright Eyes is an excellent introduction from Dr. Parks and is a strong grower with heavy bud-set. There is a bud at almost every leaf terminal. The small, single flowers are red with an orange cast, and it blooms from early to mid-season.
Buttermint is a medium upright grower with narrow leaves. The profuse mini, formal double to rose blooms with white to pale yellow petals grace us with their beauty early and will last through late season.
